UPDATE July 2020: Lyons has retired from practice, thanks the solicitors and clients who have supported him over the years & wishes them well in the future. He is now pursuing his business interests.

Called to the Bar in 1985, Lyons has more than 30 years' experience in commercial and property disputes engaging commercial, contract, corporations, equity, insolvency, property, and trade practices law. He has:

  • appeared in Courts and Tribunals from the High Court down;
  • acted for a wide range of clients, e.g. from ASX listed companies and public sector entities to business people;
  • acted on both sides of disputes, e.g. consumer v corporation, director v shareholder, franchisor v franchisee, landlord v tenant, lender v borrower, mortgagee v mortgagor;
  • interpreted agreements and statutes on a daily basis for more than 3 decades;
  • run appeals, trials and alternative dispute processes.

Lyons' experience and ability helps clients achieve their goals as expeditiously and inexpensively as practical. This includes considering mediation to determine if it is possible to achieve those goals without incurring the costs of a trial.

Lyons is admitted as a barrister of the High Court and in all states and territories.
